Edwin Elliot, Esq.
Edwin Elliott will be a first-year associate at Shamis & Gentile, P.A. Edwin focuses his practice on consumer class actions, insurance litigation, personal injury, and personal injury protection. Edwin has experience litigating claims before state and federal courts involving consumer fraud, deceptive and unfair trade practices, and complex commercial disputes. With experience at all stages of the litigation process, Edwin works closely with clients to ensure they are informed throughout. Edwin’s meticulous attention to detail and results driven tenacity ensure that clients will receive individualized care in crafting creative legal solutions to meet their specific needs.
A life-long Florida native, Edwin earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Florida State University and went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Edwin competed for the International Moot Court Board, advocated for indigent clients with the Immigration Clinic, protected online digital liberties as a legal fellow for the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI), and delved into emerging #LegalTech issues as Research Assistant for Professor Mary Anne Franks. Due to his exemplary academics, Edwin was awarded the Class Action & Complex Litigation Endowed Fellowship, a merit scholarship honor. Edwin is fluent in Spanish.
